Ovo Efemini

Ovo Efemini is a summer student in Gowling WLG's Toronto office.

Ovo is completing his LLM at Osgoode Hall Law School. 

Prior to his law studies at Osgoode, Ovo graduated from law school in Nigeria and has been licensed to practice law since 2015.

In addition to practising at a national law firm in Nigeria, Ovo has significant consulting experience with one of the Big Four professional services firms. In this role, Ovo worked on complex projects for mainly large and mid-sized multinationals, including some of the world’s prominent companies.

During his law school years, Ovo was a ranking member of the Students’ Union Parliament and head of two different mooting clubs, in addition to other leadership responsibilities.

Ovo enjoys serving his community and constituencies. Early in his career, he was as a volunteer lawyer representing indigent criminal defendants. He has also been actively involved in student and peer mentorship, as well as charity outreaches targeting vulnerable populations.

Ovo will focus his summer in the firm's Business Law Department.
