Patrick Glaude is a partner in Gowling WLG's Montréal office, specializing in employment and labour law.
Patrick regularly counsels provincial and federal employers on both collective and individual work relations. He is particularly focused on issues pertaining to human resources, labour standards, adjudication of grievances, the certification process, discipline and performance management, and dismissals. He is also frequently asked to give advice on issues pertaining to non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, as well as on the drafting of policies and procedures relating to employment.
Patrick also acts as a strategic counsel in matters of work relations for various Cree entities in Québec. In this regard he sees to the management of human resources for an Aboriginal school commission as well as for an Aboriginal police workforce.
He also acts for national and international organizations, notably in the manufacturing and banking sectors as well as for employment agencies, transportation and publicity sectors. He regularly assists his clients with executive dismissals, work contract and services contract drafting, as well as of complaints relating to dismissals and psychological harassment. He is also frequently asked to give advice on issues pertaining to employee transfers in mergers and acquisitions or business restructurings.
Patrick also gives lectures on labour relations and human resources management.
Patrick represents employers before the Commission des relations du travail, grievance adjudicators and common law courts.
