Pierre Faure

Pierre is a senior associate in the M&A / Private Equity practice in Paris.

His practice covers a wide range of both domestic and international corporate and M&A, private equity and capital development transactions. Pierre advises listed and non-listed companies, entrepreneurs, as well as private equity funds.

He has a significant expertise in M&A related matters including sales, joint ventures, tender offers, stake acquisitions and cross-border mergers, and a strong experience of corporate governance issues.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG in 2022, Pierre has practised in the corporate/M&A department of Franklin Société d'Avocats and Hogan Lovells LLP in Paris.

Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2016, Pierre holds a Master 2 degree in Business and Tax Law, from the Paris Sud University (2012), and a Master 2 degree (Grande Ecole), from the Edhec Business School (2015).


  • Advised a telecommunication leader on selling to a global  American investment company  a 49.99% stake in an infrastructure company  (valued at EUR 3.6 billion) which owns over 10,000 communication tower sites across France;
  • Advised a French investment fund in the context of investments in  various  medical  biology laboratories (EUR 100 million);
  • Advised two private equity firms in the context of their divestment in a leader in aircraft and helicopter carriage systems for defence and civil security (EUR 300 million); 
  • Advised a major player in global electronic subcontracting, specialised in the design and production of electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies  in connection  with the investment by Bpifrance in an industrial joint-venture company;
  • Advised two French investment funds in the acquisition of a company managing cultural sites, museums and immersive exhibitions;
  • Advised a South-African private equity firm in the context of a divestment from a major wood harvesting company to a major energy provider in France.
  • Advised a global energy leader in connection with the development of solar photovoltaic power plants and windfarms projects;
  • Advised a telecommunication leader on the acquisition of a Moroccan company  and its subsidiaries active in the call centre market, particularly in Morocco and France;
  • Advised a telecommunication leader on the sale of two Swiss B2B telecom and datacentre solutions providers to a global investment company (EUR 200 million).
  • Advised a UK investment fund in the context of the development of a resort, golf and social club in France, including on restructuring issues.
