
Bio
Priya Szymanski is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office, focusing on product regulatory and administrative law.
Priya completed her JD at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. During her studies, Priya served as Vice President of the Food Law & Policy Association, where she helped organize and implement events highlighting the intersection between food and law. She also participated in the initio Technology and Innovation Law Clinic, providing legal information and assistance to start-up businesses in tech, science and creative industries.
Prior to entering law school, Priya obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History from Simon Fraser University and a Master of Arts in History from Concordia University. Priya previously worked as a legal administrative assistant at both a large law firm and for an in-house general counsel team. Additionally, she served as a legal project manager at a boutique law firm in Montreal, and as a teaching assistant.
When she’s not navigating Canada’s regulatory landscape, Priya enjoys cooking, visiting farmers’ markets, watching The Simpsons, hiking, and spending time with her husband, son and cat.
