Raphaël Brouillette is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Montréal office, practising in the firm’s Business Law Group. His practice focuses on commercial agreements, construction, public and private procurement, major infrastructure projects, as well as aviation law.
Raphaël advises public bodies, private companies and consortiums in large infrastructure and construction projects executed according to various forms of procurement methodologies. He assists in the drafting and negotiation of design-build and supply contracts, as well as in contract management. He has been involved in public and private infrastructure projects worth several billion dollars, notably in the transportation and healthcare sectors.
Raphaël also manages a specialized practice in aviation law. He has negotiated agreements for the design and construction of airport facilities, participated in commercial transactions and aircraft financing, and advised industry stakeholders on complex regulatory matters.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the Université de Montréal, where he distinguished himself through his academic excellence and legal research skills. He served as a research assistant in technology and health law and spent a year working with judges at the Superior Court of Quebec. He also played a key role in the national network of Pro Bono Students Canada, where he headed a business law clinic for non-profit organizations.
