Renaud Charest

Renaud Charest is an associate at Gowling WLG’s office in Montréal working in the Labour and Employment Group who joined the firm as a law student in 2016.

Renaud works with employers of all sizes in both unionized and non-unionized workplaces. He is adept at providing strategic advice to employers on matters such as terminations, collective dismissals, disciplinary issues, development of policies and best practices, and questions on health and safety.. 

Renaud is dedicated to effectively and efficiently resolving any disputes or issues that arise and achieving the best outcomes for his clients.

Renaud holds a bachelor’s degree in civil law (2016), a juris doctor in common law (2017) as well as a bachelor’s degree in architecture (2014) from Université de Montréal.

During his studies, Renaud was president of the student section of the Quebec branch of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA-Quebec). He volunteered at the legal clinic for NPOs and was actively involved in the law faculty as a mentor and administrator. He also had the opportunity to study abroad for a year at the Paris-Belleville National Architecture School.
