Richard is a banking and finance solicitor undertaking a range of debt finance work, including secured and unsecured acquisition finance, asset finance and real estate finance. Acting for borrowers, banks and financial institutions (corporate and private equity) on a bilateral and syndicated basis, Richard has experience in advising on regional, national and international transactions.

Richard works with a range of documentation including facility agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements and legal opinions. His experience also includes working with bank documentation as well as Loan Market Association documents.


  • Advising Palatine Private Equity's Impact Fund on its investment into e-days.
  • Advising Lloyds Development Capital in relation to a further management buy-out of Forest Holidays.
  • Acting for a property investment fund on multiple transactions to provide finance for the development of student accommodation blocks and residential schemes across England and Wales.
  • Acting for a second hand vehicle finance company on a solvent restructuring worth in excess of £80 million.
