Richard Du

Richard Du is a summer law student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office. Richard will focus his summer work in the Intellectual Property Group.

Richard is completing his JD at Osgoode Hall Law School. During his studies, Richard volunteers by mentoring high school students who are interested in future legal studies through Law in Action Within Schools and serves as a peer mentor.

Prior to entering law school, Richard completed a BSc in mathematics at the University of New Brunswick. During his undergraduate studies, Richard received a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) Undergraduate Student Research Award grant to study geometric algebra and 3D printing. He also served as president of the UNB Student Union and was a student representative on the university’s board of governors.
