Robert E. Houston, QC

Robert Houston, QC is a partner in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office, practising in the Advocacy Department. An accomplished litigator, Robert's areas of expertise include professional negligence, defamation, appellate advocacy and personal injury. Robert is also one of a small number of Supreme Court of Canada consultants who represent provincial attorneys general and private law firms.

Robert has been exceptionally active in the legal community throughout his career. He has served as director of The Advocates' Society and the Canadian Bar Association, and is a past president of the County of Carleton Law Association (CCLA). He has served on Chief Justice Howland and Chief Justice Dubin Bench and Bar Committee.

Articles and Presentations

Robert has lectured at the University of Ottawa and the Law Society of Upper Canada Bar Admission Course. He has also spoken at the CCLA's annual civil litigation program. at the Annual Civil Litigation Update Program.
