Rory McMullan

Rory McMullan is a litigation associate in Gowling WLG’s Vancouver office, practising in the areas of insurance and professional liability, commercial litigation, litigation and dispute resolution, and medical defence and health law.

Rory acts for insurers, their insureds and self-insured organizations in an array of litigation, including personal injury actions, medical, life and disability claims, professional errors and omissions, and commercial litigation. He has represented clients before the BC Claims Resolution Tribunal, BC Provincial Court and BC Supreme Court.

Rory prides himself on understanding the business objectives of his clients and ensuring all steps of the litigation, tribunal or dispute resolution stages are taken to serve those needs. Rory relies on his experience in alternative dispute resolution processes and strong advocacy skills to provide a favourable outcome for his clients – whether inside or outside the courtroom.

Before joining Gowling WLG, Rory worked as in-house counsel for a large insurance company representing customers in disputes brought against them at all levels of the courts in BC. Prior to that, he worked in the fields of personal injury, product liability, occupiers’ liability, public liability, medical negligence and commercial litigation in the United Kingdom.
