Rose Victoria Adams

Rose Victoria Adams has been a law student in Gowling WLG’s Montréal office since May 2019. She will begin articling at the firm in 2022.

Rose Victoria is a fourth-year student in the concurrent Bachelor of Civil Law and Bachelor of Common Law (BCL./JD) program at McGill University’s Faculty of Law. She has a keen interest in Indigenous law, particularly in the areas of economic development, self-government, labour, and the environment.

She served as an executive member of the Indigenous Law Association at McGill University’s Faculty of Law from 2017 to 2019. During the summer of 2018, she interned at the Wiyasiwewin Mikiwahp Native Law Centre at the University of Saskatchewan, an Indigenous law research centre, as part of McGill’s International Human Rights Internships Program.

As part of her studies, Rose Victoria also clerked alongside the Honourable Paul Mayer at the Specific Claims Tribunal of Canada from 2019 to 2020.

Prior to attending law school, Rose Victoria worked for a summer as a researcher and assistant in the legal department of Makivik Corporation which functions as the legal representative of the Inuit of Québec. At Collège de Maisonneuve, she was awarded a first-prize scholarship for overall academic performance, having obtained the highest average in her program.
