Rose Victoria Adams

Rose Victoria Adams has been a law student in Gowling WLG's Montréal office since May 2019. She will start articling at the firm in 2021.

Rose Victoria is a second-year student in the combined bachelor of civil law and bachelor of laws (B.C.L./LLB) program at McGill University's Faculty of Law. She has a keen interest in Indigenous law, particularly in the areas of economic development, self-government, labour and environment. She has served as an executive member of the Indigenous Law Association at McGill University's Faculty of Law since 2017.

During the summer of 2018, she interned at the Wiyasiwewin Mikiwahp Native Law Centre at the University of Saskatchewan, an Indigenous law research centre, as part of McGill’s International Human Rights Internships Program. As part of her studies, she will also begin clerking for the Honourable Paul Mayer at the Specific Claims Tribunal of Canada later this year.

Prior to attending law school, Rose Victoria worked for a summer as a researcher and assistant in the legal department of Makivik Corporation, the legal representative of the Inuit of Québec. She also obtained a diploma in arts, literature and communication from Collège de Maisonneuve, where she was awarded a first prize scholarship for her overall academic performance, having obtained the highest average in her program.
