
Bio
Samira Tabrizian is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office. She completed her B.C.L./J.D. at McGill University’s Faculty of Law and is a Ph.D. graduate in Innovation, Technology, Science, and Law from the Université de Montréal, where her research focused on legal and ethical frameworks for smart cities and artificial intelligence.
Prior to entering law school, Samira practised as an attorney in Iran, serving in senior legal and advisory roles with leading law firms, the Iranian National Oil Company, and the Iran Chamber of Commerce. She also has extensive experience in business development, managing multi-million-dollar client portfolios in the education sector.
Samira is fluent in English and Persian (Farsi) and has working proficiency in French. She has published on topics including renewable energy law, sustainable development, and AI governance in smart cities.
