Samuel Duval

Samuel is a summer law student in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office. He joined the firm in 2019 after completing his second year in the French Common Law Program at the University of Ottawa.

Prior to studying law, Samuel obtained a bachelor of arts (major in psychology, minor in criminology) from the University of Ottawa. During his studies, he volunteered as a research assistant at the Institut de recherche de l’Hôpital Montfort.

Samuel has been involved with the Ottawa Law Review since his first year of law school and will be assuming the role of executive editor for French articles for the 2019 - 2020 school year. In addition, during his studies, he has worked as a research assistant at the University of Ottawa and volunteered at the Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario (AJEFO) through Pro Bono Students Canada.
