Sandra Juozaitiene

Sandra Juozaitiene helps clients to achieve the most effective results by combining technical excellence with business nous and completing transactions on time and on budget.

Sandra is a banking and finance specialist, working with many of our largest global banking clients (including HSBC and Santander). She is also often involved in acquisition finance and project finance deals across a number of sectors, in particular renewable energy, retail and leisure. Sandra believes that having an excellent knowledge of how her clients operate and their main commercial drivers is the key to great service and that it is no longer enough to be an expert in law. Her experience as Client Service Manager for a global banking client, ensuring that we are continually adding value and giving them the benefit of the best possible service to hit their business objectives, means she brings a wider commercial focus to every transaction.

Sandra also sits on our Baltic States and Central and Eastern Europe country desks, regularly assisting our clients who do business in and out of these jurisdictions make the connections they need.

"There is no day the same in my job. In the banking and finance world every transaction is different - there can be layers upon layers of stakeholders and as a discipline it's never "dry". I can be working on energy bonds in the morning and the financing a major franchise by the afternoon. I enjoy combining legal and commercial knowledge to be able to maximise value and minimise risk for my client. There's also a great deal of creativity in shaping each deal and making everyone's interests work together. Fitting in the final pieces of that jigsaw is always rewarding!"
"Another aspect to my role is acting as Client Service Manager for a large global banking client. It's such a big organisation, so it's great to work with various teams and have a chance to get to know people.

"I'm also involved in our Baltic States and Central & Eastern Europe Country Desks. Due to my background and understanding of the political, social and economic factors affecting the interests of our clients and transactions in those regions, I can bring to our clients a real knowledge of how things work on the ground in that part of the world."

Working with Staffline on some high-profile and strategic deals for them has been a real highlight, including recently advising on the banking aspects of their £34.5 million acquisition of A4e Limited. The deal was complex, with multijurisdictional elements, and we were working to a very tight deadline. With these types of transaction, you really do get caught up in the moment and you truly are living, sleeping and breathing the deal! It's a little bit like being "lost in time and space" and only your client and what they need to move forward exists. It was a lot of fun, and working as part of cross-firm team we got them across the line.

Sandra's clients are predominantly high-street and global banks, though she also advises a number of corporate borrowers.
