Scott W. Beattie

Scott W. Beattie is a civil litigation lawyer who has quickly established a reputation as a trustworthy and reliable advocate. Using his relaxed and friendly approach to help identify clients’ problems, he offers honest solutions and will advocate strongly on their behalf.  

Scott focuses his practice on civil litigation with an emphasis on professional negligence and commercial issues.  In addition to defending fellow lawyers in negligence claims across Ontario, Scott acts in a variety of litigation matters including breaches of contract, shareholder disputes, debtor/creditor actions, and negligence claims. He also handles various construction litigation matters pursuant to the Construction Lien Act.

Scott regularly appears before all levels of courts in Ontario, including the Superior Court of Justice, the small claims court, the divisional court, and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. 

Scott is a member of the Hamilton Law Association, the Advocates’ Society and the Ontario Bar Association where he has served on council, as well as on the board of directors as the director for the Central-South Region.
