Scott Geelan

Scott is an associate in the firm's Projects & Infrastructure team based in the Dubai office. Scott advises procurers, sponsors and lenders on transactions in the power, water and infrastructure sectors in the Middle East, Africa and Europe. He is a member of the firm's Africa Group.

Experience

• Advised the sponsor on a major construction and facilities management concession in Saudi Arabia.
• Advised the lenders in relation to a major construction and facilities management concession in Saudi Arabia.
• Advised the sponsors on their bid for the concession to upgrade and extend the Glen Valley Wastewater Treatment Plant.
• Advised the sponsor on its bid for a HVDC transmission project in the UAE with a projected capex cost of US$3 billion.
• Advised the Government of Kenya on the procurement of tolling infrastructure and a toll operator for Kenya's First Mover Toll Roads PPP Programme.
• Advised the developer on its project to provide battery energy storage solutions in Malawi and Kenya.
• Advised Bushveld Minerals on a US$30 million Production Financing Agreement to finance the expansion of Bushveld's South African vanadium mine.
