Sergey Prischepnyy
Sergey Prischepnyy is a patent attorney in Gowling WLG's Moscow office, where he focuses on patent prosecution in the nuclear, mechanical, IT, and software sectors.
He has extensive experience in patent drafting and prosecution, patent searches, the preparation of responses to office actions, and providing legal opinions regarding patent infringements.
Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Sergey served as the in-house patent attorney for firms operating in the nuclear sector. His responsibilities included revealing inventions with inventors; drafting invention applications, utility models, and designs in the mining industry; and filing PCT applications and freedom-to-operate searches.
He also had years of experience as an IP expert with the Russian Export Center, where he provided legal advice to export-oriented companies on the foreign patenting of inventions and industrial designs. Before that, Sergey was a patent examiner with the Russian Patent Office in the mining, construction, and consumer-goods-industry department.
Sergey graduated from the Russian State University for Geological Prospecting with a degree in Engineering. He also holds an LLB from the All-Russian State University of Justice.
Sergey practises in both English and Russian.
