Shamus Slaunwhite

Shamus Slaunwhite is a summer student in Gowling WLG's Toronto office.

Shamus is completing his JD at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.

Prior to law school, Shamus wore a few different hats. Following his undergrad, he was a freelance pianist, working often for the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia. Those jobs opened the door to an opportunity at Queen's Park, where Shamus worked in public education and outreach. Once he felt it was time to apply to law school, Shamus decided to reconnect with his passion for mental health and homelessness services by working for a year at a Toronto shelter.

In his free time, Shamus enjoys cycling with the Cabbagetown Cycling Club, hosting trivia nights and going to concerts.

Shamus will focus his summer in the firm's Business Law Department.
