Soohyun Kim

Soohyun Kim is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office. Her practice focuses on health law and medical defence, including acting as counsel to the Canadian Medical Protective Association and physicians. She practices in both official languages.

Soohyun obtained a dual J.D./LL.L. degree in the Programme de droit canadien at the University of Ottawa. During her studies, Soohyun worked as a research assistant at the Supreme Court of Canada. She was also actively involved in the university community, serving as Vice-President of Internal Communications for her Faculty’s student government and acting as a mentor in the Women’s Legal Mentorship Program.

Outside of the practice of law, Soohyun enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog as well as travelling abroad.
