Stephen Bowman

Stephen Bowman is a principal associate in the corporate team based in London, specialising in corporate transactions with a particular focus on domestic and international private M&A, mid-market private equity, fundraising, joint ventures and general corporate law matters.

Stephen is a senior member of the firm's tech and clean-energy sector groups and primarily focuses on transactions within these sectors, but has also acquired vast experience in automotive, healthcare and sector-agnostic private equity transactions during his 10+ years as a corporate lawyer.

Often advising on complicated and challenging transactions, Stephen helps his clients cut through the complexity. He is a talented lawyer and provides quick, commercially focused and understandable advice, and takes a collaborative approach to ensure transactions successfully close.

  • Advising HydrogenOne on the deployment of over £51 million across five investments in the hydrogen supply chain following its IPO, including in electrolyser manufacturers, hydrogen developers, hydrogen powered flight, fuel cells and distribution systems.
  • Advising UK energy storage developer, owner and operator Eelpower on a £100 million joint venture partnership with NextEnergy.
  • Advising Pioneer Point Partners on the acquisition of an anaerobic digestion plant in Northern Ireland, and its €60 million funding commitment to bio-energy developer Stream BioEnergy Limited.
  • Advising UK solar developer Island Green Power Limited on the sale of a 50% stake to Macquarie Asset Management, together with the acquisition of a 65MW ready-to-build solar project in Suffolk.
