Thomas Daniel Hunter

Thomas Hunter is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Waterloo Region office.

Thomas graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an honours bachelor of arts in history with distinction. He received his JD from the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University.

While attending law school, Thomas worked with the Lakehead University Community Legal Services Clinic on a pro bono basis and provided legal services to low-income residents of Northwestern Ontario, including Thunder Bay, Fort William First Nation and the municipality of Greenstone. Thomas successfully conducted trials and appeals at criminal and provincial offences court.

Thomas recently completed his four-month practice placement with Sewrattan Criminal Lawyers in Toronto. Thomas received experienced legal skills training and criminal defence mentoring.

Thomas was previously a summer student in Gowling WLG’s Waterloo Region office. He is splitting his articles equally between the Business Law and Advocacy departments.

In his spare time, Thomas is an avid supporter of the Liverpool Football Club.
