Thomas Mayer

Thomas Mayer is an Intellectual Property (IP) partner in our Munich office. He focuses on patent litigation and combines in-depth technical expertise with broad sector experience. His clients come from sectors such as pharma/ Life sciences, healthcare and medical devices, high-tech and automotive.

As patent litigator, Thomas is the go-to person for complex patent infringement and validity cases and is well versed to help clients to enforce, protect and utilize their intellectual property in complex technological and cross-border environments. He has represented clients on all jurisdictional levels before German courts as well as in disputes before the German and European Community authorities and courts.

He also advises on patent licensing and employee inventions, supports with portfolio strategy, including reorganization of patent portfolios. Alongside the pure look at the patent scenario, he also has particular experience in handling cases involving employees' inventions, as well as designs and unfair competition.
