Tristan Joanette

Tristan Joanette is a summer student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Tristan was the executive aquatic Director at Calypso, Canada’s biggest water park. While at Calypso, Tristan developed a comprehensive risk management program, improved the cost effectiveness of the organization and supervised the legal cases of the company.

During law school, Tristan worked as a research assistant in the field of international law. He also represented the University of Ottawa at Charles-Rousseau International Law Moot Court Competition, which took place in Anger (France), and at the Laskin Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition, which took place in Winnipeg (Canada).

Tristan is in the Juris Doctor and Political science program at the University of Ottawa. He also made the Dean’s Honour List.

Tristan has always been passionate about aviation and ski.

He is fluent in French and English.
