Tyler Bond

Tyler Bond is a partner in Gowling WLG's Calgary office and leader of that office's Mortgage Recovery Services Group. Tyler's practice emphasizes mortgage enforcement, an area in which he has nearly 10 years of experience. His approach ensures an effective, efficient recovery of proceeds coupled with a sensitivity to reputational risk issues that may have negative business consequences for the firm's clients.

Tyler has acted for clients in the mortgage lending industry in relation to both lending and collection matters. His foreclosure practice has included both residential and commercial foreclosures, as well as litigation relating to interests in land. He has appeared before the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan and Alberta Court of Justice, the Courts of King's Bench in Saskatchewan and Alberta, and the Alberta Court of Appeal.

Tyler is the past co-chair of the Canadian Bar Association Foreclosure Subsection for Southern Alberta. He has lectured at Mount Royal University in the legal sections of the Mortgage Brokerage course, a mandatory course for all Alberta mortgage brokers.

Tyler is a member of Gowling WLG's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee. More information on the committee and the efforts of Gowling WLG to promote and maintain a diverse and inclusive culture can be found here.
