Valérie Pilote

Valérie Pilote is a bilingual associate in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office, practising in the Advocacy department's Medical Defence Group. Her practice focuses on all areas of medical defence litigation and professional regulation.
Valérie earned her J.D. from the University of Ottawa’s French Common Law Program. During her studies, she participated in multiple moot court competitions, including the Michel Bastarache on language rights and the IRC (Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship). Valérie gained practical legal experience working at the Criminal Clerk’s office of the Gatineau Courthouse and interning with judges of the Superior Court of Quebec (Youth Division, Civil, Criminal and Penal).
Prior to entering law school, Valérie completed a Bachelor of Commercial Sciences in Marketing at the University of Ottawa. Her interest in seeking new experiences also led her to do a student exchange in Sweden at Uppsala University.
As an avid traveler, Valérie enjoys discovering other cultures, meeting people from diverse backgrounds, and checking adventures off her bucket list. In her spare time, she loves staying active and spending time outdoors with friends and family.
Valérie serves clients in both French and English.
