Victoria Pileggi

Victoria is an articling student in the firm’s Advocacy Department at Gowling WLG's Toronto office. She completed her JD at the University of Ottawa.

During her law school career, she was an associate editor of the Ottawa Law Review and participated in the Wilson Moot competition where her team came first in the preliminary rounds and second in the overall competition. She also interned at the Ontario Court of Justice in judges’ chambers to conduct legal research.

In her final year of law school, she dedicated her time to international investment law, learning about the Canadian-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement. She also participated in the International and Investment Law Practicum, where she worked on a set of specific investment issues for a major international institution.

In her spare time, she is conducting a research project using empirical methodology with Professor Anthony Daimsis (University of Ottawa) to determine business contracting practices in international commercial sales and arbitration agreements.
