Yara Stanom

Yara Stanom is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Montréal office and a member of the firm’s Financial Institutions & Services Group, primarily focusing on bank financing within her corporate and banking law practice.

Yara advises a wide range of clients, both lenders and borrowers, on local and cross-border transactions, including bilateral and syndicated financings, secured lending, as well as term and revolving credit facilities.

She holds a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University, and has also passed the New York Bar exam.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, she worked at a regional firm, where she developed significant experience in the areas of financing and M&A. During her legal studies, she was actively involved with the Legal Information Clinic at McGill. 

Yara practises law in English, French and Arabic, and is also fluent in Spanish.
