This practical workshop will take in-house counsel through the life of a brand, providing guidance on issues which regularly arise. Our IP experts will use a case study of a fictitious brand where we will cover:
- Brand creation - how to go about clearing new brands, issues to look out for, and common pitfalls
- Exploitation - the dos and don’ts of licensing, ownership and intra-group arrangements
- Enforcement - when to take action in respect of infringement and when not to, the things you should have in mind when you do, and how to make it cost-effective
- Maintenance - how best to keep the integrity and value in a brand, and a look at the international picture
The hands-on workshop will draw on real-world experience, and arm you to deal with issues which could affect your business's brands.
