Private equity and venture capital team deals done 2016

This year represented the beginning of potentially uncertain times in the market generally, however for the team; this has been an excellent year with more than 60 deals with a combined value of over £2 billion across all sectors. Below are just a few of our 2016 highlights and here's to a promising 2017.

PRIMROSE SOLAR MANAGEMENT LIMITED

Advised Primrose and its shareholders (principally an energy focused private equity fund) on the disposal of three portfolios of solar farms (94.5MW, 80MW and 78MW) during the course of 2016 - some of the largest private solar deals of the year.

STAR CAPITAL PARTNERS LLP

Advised Star on its £50m investment in and acquisition of Synergy Health Managed Services Limited, a leading UK linen management services provider.

LDC

Advised LDC on the £17m management buyout of Panther Logistics, the UK's largest independent next day home delivery provider.

SR ONE

Advised a syndicate of investors, including SR One, on their further investment into drug discovery and development company Mission Therapeutics.

ESO CAPITAL GROUP

Advised ESO Capital on its five-year debt and equity investment in residential developer, PlaceFirst, as the cornerstone of a £90m development programme.

DRAPER ESPRIT PLC

Advised Draper Esprit (a leading UK venture capital investor) on its admission to the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange and the ESM market of the Irish Stock Exchange and associated fund raising of over £100m.

ROUTE 66 VENTURES

Advised Route 66 Ventures on its further investment into challenger bank, Tandem.

EQUIOM GROUP

Advised Equiom and LDC on the buy and build acquisitions of: (i) The Links Group Limited (Dubai); (ii) Hertiage Fidiciary Services (Singapore); (iii) Equation HK Limited (Hong Kong); and (iv) Vivat Trust and Corporate Services Limited (Jersey).

JD CLASSICS

Advised the founder of JD Classics, the premium classic car specialist, on the majority exit and partnering deal with Charme Capital Partners.

BELFIELD FURNISHINGS GROUP

Advised members of the management team on the management buy-out of the home furnishing group, Belfield Furnishings.
