Marian Fayek

Marian Fayek joined Gowling WLG's Dubai office in 2016 as a Senior Paralegal. Marian is now an associate in our intellectual property team after completing her law degree and registration as a legal consultant in Dubai. She has extensive experience in relation to intellectual property related matters, having practiced in the region for more than 10 years', including the protection and enforcement of trademarks, patents, designs and copyright throughout the MENA region. She has also managed a significant number of matters before the GCC Patent Office.

Prior to Joining Gowling WLG, Marian worked for a top tier international law firm in Dubai as a Senior Paralegal where she managed matters relating to trademark, designs and patents prosecution and enforcement.

Marian manages a broad scope of client's IP portfolios providing clients with advice on trademark filing strategies, clearance searches, cancellation action, oppositions and enforcement as well as patents and designs prosecution. She provides advice to international and local clients in the FMCG, F&B services, consumer products, hospitality and luxury goods sectors. Marian also manages IP litigation matters in the UAE and elsewhere in the region.

Marian has extensive knowledge in dealing with administrative and criminal enforcement authorities and government bodies in the UAE.

Marian holds a Bachelor of Law from Cairo University and is a Licensed Legal Consultant with Dubai Legal Affairs Department. She is fluent in Arabic and English.
