Stuart Young

Stuart Young is a seasoned M&A lawyer with over 20 years' transaction experience. He uses this experience to provide commercial and pragmatic advice and to get deals done with the minimum of fuss. Clients appreciate Stuart's commercial approach, which allows them to focus on the most important and valuable issues without getting lost in the detail. Stuart is also head of our automotive group.

Every transaction is different and every client is different. It's the constant change that keeps Stuart interested in his clients and their deals. At heart, he's a practical and pragmatic lawyer who isn't interested in point-scoring or grandstanding.

He gives clients genuine personal commitment, common sense born of experience, and a lot of energy.

Stuart is deeply involved in the automotive sector and uses his experience to get to grips with the key aspects of transactions straight away.

Capitalising on the firm's market leading IP practice to offer a mixture of transaction savvy and technical strength in depth. Stuart has acted for well-established technology companies such as ADP, Misys and Iris Software, as well as global telco's such as AT&T.

Stuart has also advised companies during their initial growth phase on equity funding and other investments. The clients are not publicly known but include online media and medical software companies. Increasingly there is an overlap with Stuart's automotive experience as clients push into the connected vehicle space.
