Equity Capital Markets

Gowling WLG has a dedicated equity capital markets group (with particular emphasis on AIM and investment funds), which is recognised as one of the leading equity capital market practices in London.

Experience you can trust

We have a wide range of experience, acting for both companies and nominated advisers on IPOs, secondary fundraisings, public takeovers as well as advising on ongoing AIM Rule compliance and corporate governance issues.

We acted on the first AIM IPO 20 years ago, have acted on more than 450 AIM deals with total funds raised being over £7 billion. We currently act for more than 50 Main Market and AIM companies. Since 2008, we have been among the half a dozen most active law firms by number of IPOs (acting for issuers).

We regularly appear in the top 5 Law Firms for AIM corporate clients and have for some time now appeared as 'Top Law Firm' in terms of aggregate market capitalisation of corporate clients, in the ARL Rankings (Advisers Rankings Guide).

The team was nominated for Corporate Team of the Year in The Lawyer Awards 2015 and was runner up for Funds Team of the Year in The Lawyer Awards 2014.

We are particularly noted for our extensive international experience, having handled transactions on behalf of companies operating in numerous jurisdictions across Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa and Australasia.

Annual Nomad conference

Our Annual Nomad Conference is recognised as the premium conference for Nominated Advisers.

Each year our team produces the 'AIM Handbook' for issuers, Nomads and other advisers, giving them one place where they can access all the relevant rules and Gowling WLG practice notes.

For an electronic or printed copy of the AIM Handbook, please email nikki.grizzell@gowlingwlg.com.
