Residential Development

It's an exciting time for our clients. With the economy now in recovery mode, planning restrictions have eased, land values are still relatively low post-credit crunch and the mortgage tap has been turned on.

We operate a complete service for all aspects of development work from large scale consortium developments, joint ventures, public/private partnerships and on through to the sale of residential units.

Our residential development experts are helping to meet the UK's urgent need for new homes. A trusted adviser to a number of top 10 developers and housebuilders including The Miller Group and Persimmon, we are renowned for leading on high-value, complex projects. Strong relationships with the land buyers means we are skilled in helping them to negotiate, structure and deliver deals quickly and accurately.

Experience includes advising a consortium of developers including Bovis Homes, Linden Homes and Taylor Wimpey, on the acquisition of 1,200 acres of land near Plymouth for the new town of Sherford. When complete, this new community will contain 5,500 homes, schools, recreational facilities and a place of worship.

Here's what Paul Churchouse of Taylor Wimpey had to say about our approach: "... the consortium and funding solutions required was a formidable undertaking for any firm of solicitors. A professional and determined approach was undertaken, culminating in a successful conclusion of this transaction."

We also provide a fully rounded service for high net worth individuals focusing on due diligence and the protection and value of the asset. Much of our work for overseas investors is the acquisition of prime residential property in London.
