Scheme Sessions Vol1.2025 - A year of the new DB funding regime: where are we now?
11 juin 2025
09:00-10:00
The new DB funding regime came into effect on 6 April 2024 under sections 221A and 221B of the Pensions Act 2004 and underlying regulations. The new legislation was joined, somewhat belatedly, by the Pensions Regulator's revised DB Funding Code of Practice in November last year, and its revised covenant guidance in December. The new requirements apply to scheme valuations with an effective date on or after 22 September 2024, so many schemes have, by now, faced the task of getting to grips with them.
The discussion will be chaired by Elizabeth Gane, Partner, Gowling WLG and Hannah Beacham, Legal Director, Gowling WLG, Cath Williams, Partner and Trustee Director, Aretas Trustees and Laura McLaren, Partner and Head of DB Scheme Actuary Services, Hymans Robertson will be talking about the changes from a legal, trustee, and actuarial perspective, highlighting some of the issues they've seen cropping up over the last year, and answering audience questions.
The webinar will start at 09:00 on Wednesday 11 June and will last approximately one hour, including time for questions.
