On January 8, 2016, Alltech acquired 100 per cent of the outstanding shares of Masterfeeds Inc. from Ag Processing Inc., a farmer-owned co-operative based in Omaha, Nebraska, in order to have complete ownership of Masterfeeds LP.
 
The acquisition of Masterfeeds, a leading Canadian commercial animal nutrition company, has strengthened Alltech’s Canadian presence and created one of the country’s largest animal nutrition offerings. Masterfeeds provides on-farm support to farmers and ranchers and the combination with Alltech will enable more efficient delivery of superior animal nutrition and tailored feeding programs, supported by robust scientific research. Alltech has a presence in 128 countries with more than 4,700 employees worldwide.
