Gowling WLG appointed to Transport for Greater Manchester professional services framework
Gowling WLG has been appointed to the Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) professional services panel.
A team led by partners Mike O'Shea and Giles Clifford, and legal director Dominic Richardson has been instructed to TfGM's Professional Services Framework - Strategic Lot 9: Legal services for major or complex projects.
The four year appointment covers all legal services that could be required in relation to transport infrastructure, including development & regeneration projects, major service projects for all forms of transport, environmental projects, and innovation projects to advance wider connectivity and accessibility in the region.
Gowling WLG's Government Contracting & Public Sector, Infrastructure, Rail and Transport lawyers will head up the advisory to TfGM, the local government body responsible for delivering Greater Manchester's transport strategy and commitments.
TfGM's circa £90 million consultancy framework form's part of Greater Manchester's programme of capital transport investment to establish a fully integrated, high capacity transport network, with a focus on sustainability.
