Justus Seitz

Justus Seitz is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution Practice Group of Gowling WLG's Frankfurt office. He advises and represents clients in German state court proceedings and before national and international arbitral tribunals, acting on a broad range of domestic and cross-border disputes, with a particular focus on complex post-M&A matters.

Drawing on his extensive background in Corporate / M&A and Corporate Finance Transactions (CFT), Justus has a strong focus on disputes arising from transactional contexts. His transactional experience enables him to combine a deep understanding of deal structures with a strategic and commercially minded approach, both in contentious scenarios and in broader contractual and commercial matters.

Prior to focusing on dispute resolution, Justus spent three years advising clients on domestic and international M&A transactions, including the negotiation and execution of complex share and asset purchase agreements and the post-acquisition integration of business units across multiple countries and jurisdictions. He also advised on general corporate law matters, including corporate governance and compliance.

He also advises on contractual and commercial disputes beyond transactional contexts, providing strategic advice in complex contentious situations.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG in 2023, Justus worked for another well-known international law firm.
