Sebastian Ennis-Brown is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Vancouver office and a member of the firm’s Environmental Law practice group. As an environmental lawyer who regularly advises and represents industry, government and Indigenous clients on a variety of environmental issues, his practice includes:
Sebastian is nationally recognized as an “Associate to Watch” for environmental law matters in Chambers Canada since 2023. He is the past Chair of the CBABC Environmental Law Section.
Sebastian clerked for judges of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Toronto) and the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal before gaining experience in public law, constitutional law, Aboriginal law and white-collar criminal defence. Prior to joining Gowling WLG, he worked at a leading boutique environmental law firm.
His past volunteer work includes serving as a board member of an international human rights non-profit, a researcher for the UN Human Rights Committee and a founding member of the CBABC’s Indigenous Justice Advocacy Committee.
