On November 9, 2015, Hunter Douglas Metals, LLC ("HDM") and General Magnesium Corp. ("GMC") announced that they had signed a strategic long-term offtake agreement for the purchase of GMC’s projected eventual magnesium metal production.

HDM, headquartered in Homewood, Illinois, is a large supplier and consumer of scrap, primary, and value added aluminum products providing just in time delivery and inventory management to all facets of the industry. GMC is a start-up company based in Perth, Ontario, aiming to begin producing talc in Timmins, Ontario in 2016 and magnesium metal in 2019.

Under the terms of the agreement, GMC will sell all of its magnesium production to HDM on an exclusive basis from its Whitney Talc and Magnesium Project in Timmins.

We advised HDM in the negotiation of this agreement with a team led by Peter Simeon.
