Gowling WLG advises Getinge on £17 million acquisition of Quadralene, a manufacturer of decontamination products

Gowling WLG has again acted for Getinge, a global medical technology company, this time on its acquisition of 100% of the shares of Quadralene, a global manufacturer of decontamination products for the health care and dental sector for an initial £17 million, plus contingent deferred consideration up to £ 2.3 million.

Getinge is a leading global provider of products and systems that contribute to quality enhancement and cost efficiency within healthcare and life sciences. The company employs more than 10,000 people and has operations in 38 countries.

Quadralene is a UK based company founded in 1930 which designs, commercialises, manufactures and delivers decontamination products globally. Approximately 75% of its revenue comes from the health care and dental sector and Getinge is its largest customer with 43% of Quadralene's revenue.

Corporate partner Ian Piggin led a cross-firm Gowling WLG team advising on the transaction, supported by senior associate Roisin Bergin and trainee solicitor Eleanor Craven. Partner Ben Stansfield led on the environmental and sustainability related advice.
