Emilie Beek

Emilie assists clients manage their property portfolios, maintain profitability and resolve disputes in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

Emilie advises on a range of property disputes including lease renewals (uncontested and hostile), rights to light releases/disputes, dilapidations claims, possession claims and contested breaks. She also assists with development issues including advising on the enforceability of restrictive covenants and assisting with option and promotion agreements.

Emilie has particular expertise in telecommunications, having spent over six months on secondment with telecoms operator, Cornerstone. Emilie has experience with all aspects of the New Code including Part 4 and Part 5 claims, as well as contractual disputes and termination procedures. Emilie was an integral part of the team acting on the Supreme Court decision Cornerstone Telecommunications Infrastructure Ltd v Compton Beauchamp Estates Ltd and Cornerstone Telecommunications Infrastructure Ltd v Ashloch Limited & anr [2022] UKSC 18 – a landmark ruling affording operators greater access to code rights.

Clients include investment funds, property developers, high street retailers, public sector organisations and telecoms operators.
