Dr Inga-Marlene Pietsch

Inga is an intellectual property (IP) lawyer based in Gowling WLG's London office. She specialises in contentious intellectual property, in particular patents.

Inga has extensive experience in patent litigation matters across numerous sectors, in particular life sciences, telco and defence technologies. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Inga studied Organic Chemistry to PhD level and subsequently worked for a custom synthesis start-up company. She has a particular interest in the life sciences sector and has experience dealing with patent matters including in the biotechnology and medical devices industry.

Inga advises clients on clients on IP strategy more generally including trade secrets management as well as enforcement, involving related disputes such as entitlement cases.

Inga has gained valuable insights through secondments to global pharmaceutical as well as smaller orphan drug companies. Inga also advises on contractual, general commercial and licensing matters.
