Katie Williams

Katie is a Birmingham-based principal associate in the Commercial, Development and Investment team. Katie has over 10 years experience in the Real Estate sector with time spent in international law firms, offshore private practice and regional commercial firms acting for property developers, owners and investors as well as institutional property funds, landlords, tenants, banks and major corporates. Katie has experience in advising on all aspects of real estate including property development (including option agreements, JV agreements and promotion agreements), sales and acquisitions, refinancing, property aspects of corporate sales and leasing and asset management (including shopping centre management).

Experience

• Acted for U+I Group on the disposal of Cambourne Business Park, Cambridge - a sale with five different parties and three separate transactions.  This involved project managing the various elements of the deal and advising not only on the pure property sale but on assets held under a trust and property aspects of the corporate share sale element of the transaction.  
• Working as part of Nisha Jassal's team advising Arden Cross on their development at HS2 Birmingham Interchange to create a global destination for innovation, business, commerce, learning and living, across more than 140 hectares of development space.
• Acting for Castlepoint LP (managed by Aberdeen Standard Investments) on the ongoing management of Castlepoint Shopping Centre - a major shopping centre development on a 41 acre site.
