Kip Phillips is an articling student in the Environmental Law Group and is pursuing a career in environmental law.

Kip graduated from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia in May 2022, and received specializations in environmental and natural resources law, and social justice.

Kip has been volunteering at Animal Justice for more than five years, and was president of the UBC Animal Justice Club from September 2020 to May 2022.

She previously volunteered as the assistant to the Liberal Animal Welfare Caucus on behalf of MP Nathaniel Erksine-Smith, and completed a directed study and research paper, respectively, for the Pacific Centre for Environmental Law and Litigation, as well as the Canadian Environmental Law Association.

Kip also served as director of communications at the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment (CAPE), and as an environmental and women's journalist at Women's Post and Alternatives Journal. In her spare time, she is a Girl Guide leader for her daughter's group, and enjoys being a cat lady.
