Maggie Sainty

Maggie Sainty is an articling student in Gowling WLG's Toronto office. Shebrecently graduated from the French Common Law program (magna cum laude) at the University of Ottawa.

Throughout her time at law school, Maggie was actively involved in the community. For example, she was a teaching assistant for Alternative Dispute Resolution and Public Law, as well as a research assistant for topics such as environmental law, human rights, and ESG. Furthermore, she had the opportunity to work at Reach Canada through Pro Bono Students Canada where she provided legal referral services for people with disabilities.

She also volunteered with Canadian Legal Education Ontario as a community legal educator. She also served as VP of Athletics for the Common Law Students’ Society at the university. Maggie was the recipient of the “La bourse de l’Association du Barreau du Comté de Carleton” (Carleton bar association scholarship).

Before starting at law school, Maggie completed a dual degree in international business, where she spent two years at Brock University and two years at Neoma Business School in Reims, France. She earned a Bachelor in Business Administration and a Bachelor in International Business Management respectively.
