She is a member of the firm's national Expropriation Law and Municipal Law Groups and heads up the Real Estate and Condominium Subpractice Group.
Pamela's practice encompasses a comprehensive range of commercial real estate matters, including: land development and planning; acquisition, disposition and financing; joint venture, co-ownership and partnership arrangements; mortgage remedies; receiver and insolvency proceedings; expropriation on behalf of affected property owners, tenants, business owners or otherwise (predominantly takings and easements for LRT projects, toll highways, subway lines, road widening and waterways maintenance); real estate disputes; and general corporate-commercial matters.
She draws on and works closely with a wide network of planners, surveyors, engineers, and environmental consultants to assist clients in the successful, cost effective, and timely completion of their projects and transactions.
Pam is involved in all things green – and not just because it is her last name! As a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional, Pamela frequently writes and speaks on the topic of green building. She has moderated and spoken at several annual Green Real Estate Conferences, has conducted seminars on the unique risk and allocation of liability involved in contaminated land transactions and brownfield developments, and conducted seminars on solar rooftop panel leasing.
She has also provided insight on environmental legislation and corporate responsibility to media, has participated in workshops to develop Mississauga's Living Green Master Plan, and was a member of the Mississauga Board of Trade Environment, Sustainability & Infrastructure Committee.
With increasing emphasis on intensification and climate change, development west of Toronto is booming. To better serve her clients, Pamela is an active member of West End Home Builders' Association (WE HBA), Hamilton Halton Construction Association (HHCA), and other local associations, as well as a member of the Canada Green Building Council.
