Rana Alassaf

Rana is an associate in the firm's Projects & Infrastructure team. She is a Saudi-qualified attorney with an LLM in Business Law from the University of California, Berkeley and an LLB from Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University. Rana has extensive experience working on corporate and commercial matters. She has drafted and reviewed various corporate & commercial agreements and supported corporate and projects matters. She also has handled many cases related to commercial & administrative law and tech & telecommunication law.

Prior to joining, Rana worked as legal counsel for one of the largest publicly listed companies in Saudi Arabia. During her time there, she worked on different regional and international transactions and advised internal clients on legal matters relating to securities regulations, shareholders relations, telecommunication regulations and agreements, corporate governance and compliance, employment and corporate law.

Experience

  • Advised on a range of corporate transactions and commercial deals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Drafted, reviewed and amended various types of commercial agreements and provided legal opinions relating to securities regulations, shareholders relations, telecommunication regulations and agreements, corporate governance and compliance, employment and corporate law.
  • Conducted legal compliance checks for contracts and policies by preparing due diligence reports and putting in place checklists of the essential clauses and obligatory policies as per Saudi laws and regulations.
  • Represented clients in different matters of legal disputes before the Saudi courts and judiciary committees (i.e. CITC, Commercial, Administrative and Labour courts).
