Richard Du

Richard Du is an associate in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office, practising in the Intellectual Property Group. Richard's practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, with an emphasis on patent, trademark, and copyright matters.

Richard completed his JD at Osgoode Hall Law School. While in law school, Richard served as a student editor on Carswell's Intellectual Property Journal, participated in the Harold G. Fox Intellectual Property Moot, and served as a peer mentor.

Prior to entering law school, Richard obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at the University of New Brunswick, where he earned a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) Undergraduate Student Research Award grant to study geometric algebra and modeling through 3D printing. He also served as president of the university's student union.
