Yulia Yarnykh

Yulia Yarnykh is a counsel in the Moscow office of Gowling WLG. Her practice focuses on intellectual property, corporate and commercial law matters. She advises Russian and foreign clients on a wide range of IP issues, including enforcement of intellectual property rights, unfair competition, regulatory and commercial IP.

Yulia has broad experience in advertising and marketing, media, e‑commerce and data protection matters. She assists major international companies in conducting anti-piracy campaigns against counterfeiters and parallel importers, and in structuring their franchise and distribution networks in Russia. She is actively engaged in other IP transactional work.

Yulia is also dedicated to assisting others in need in the not-for-profit sector.

Yulia was a speaker at the Buy Brand International Franchising Conference on legal aspects of franchising in Russia, Moscow, September 2009.

Yulia has participated in roundtables, conferences and discussions on the proposed changes to the Law on Non-Commercial Organizations and the Law on Charitable Activity and Charitable Organizations organized by the International Centre for Not-For-Profit Law, including drafting supporting documentation.

She also participates in the work of the Russian Franchise Association.
